Each year, the Tennessee Governor’s Residence opens its doors for Christmas tours, hosted by Governor Bill Lee and First Lady Maria Lee. As part of these festivities, five non-profit organizations from across Tennessee are selected to be featured. Guests are invited to support these organizations by donating items, helping to further their missions and make a positive impact in local communities.
In 2025, House of Hope was honored to be one of the featured non-profits at the Governor’s Residence. This recognition provided House of Hope with valuable exposure and support from thousands of visitors during the holiday season. The initiative offered a meaningful way to highlight the important charitable work being done throughout Tennessee.
To commemorate the occasion, a Christmas tree was beautifully decorated with handmade ornaments, each bearing the first name of a child. The tree also featured paper chains and strung popcorn, evoking the warmth and nostalgia of an old-fashioned family tree. At the event, a heartfelt message was placed on the tree for all attendees:
“Find a name on the tree, say a prayer, and think of me.“
As you look upon these photos, please say a prayer for the children in crisis throughout the state of Tennessee.
